This paper chooses Digital Cicognara Library, a digital humanities project based on traditional microforms, as a case study, and introduces its historical origin, project overview, application value and structure composition. In addition, the author chooses the same type of digital humanities projects in China (projects related to the theme of Huizhou Documents) for comparative analysis, discusses the advantages of the Digital Cicognara Library project, and summarizes its successful experience, so as to provide reference for relevant organizations in China to carry out high-quality digital humanities practice.
